According to a Pinkvilla report, Kunal Kapoor has already started preparing for his role. The actor is currently engaged in rehearsals and costume fittings, showcasing his commitment to the film. While details about Kunal’s character are still being kept secret, his involvement is stirring excitement among fans and industry insiders.
The ensemble cast of Ramayana extends beyond Kunal Kapoor. South star Yash will take on the role of the powerful Ravana, and Lara Dutta is set to portray Surpanakha. With such a talented lineup, the film promises to deliver a rich and compelling retelling of the ancient epic.
Here’s How Nitesh Tiwari Will This 2-Part Saga
The film is planned as a two-part saga to accommodate the vast scale of the story. A source close to the production revealed, “Given the scale and magnitude of the film, the makers have opted for a two-part approach to tell the story. While most in the business await the results of part one before starting the second, Ramayana will be shot simultaneously.”
The production team has scheduled a 350-day shoot for both parts, aiming to complete filming by December 2025. This ambitious timeline reflects the meticulous planning and dedication behind the project.
Kunal Kapoor: Upcoming Projects
Aside from Ramayana, Kunal Kapoor is busy working on various projects. He has just wrapped up filming for Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter, which is produced by Siddharth Anand and features Saif Ali Khan.
Kunal is also involved in the socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara which features superstar Chiranjeevi. He has another film lined up with Aamir Khan Productions.
