Ramayana Part One Eyes 300 Paid Previews Ahead Of November 5 Theatrical Debut

Ramayana Part One may begin its box office journey a day early. The Ranbir Kapoor-led mythological epic is planning around 300 paid preview shows across India on November 4, 2026, ahead of its full theatrical rollout on November 5. If the plan holds, the film will test audience demand before its official opening day while adding an early boost to its first-day business.

Paid Preview Plan Gains Attention

The paid preview strategy has become an increasingly watched move for event films, and Ramayana Part One appears ready to tap into that momentum. The current plan is for approximately 300 shows nationwide on November 4, giving eager viewers a head start on one of Hindi cinema’s biggest titles of the year. Since preview admissions count toward theatrical earnings, the move could help the film build opening-day numbers even before its formal release.

What makes the development significant is the scale. A film of this size already arrives with enormous curiosity around its visual world, casting, and treatment of the epic. An advance preview rollout would turn that anticipation into a real-time audience response cycle a day before the wider release.

Release Date Now Firmly Locked

The release timeline became clearer on October 11, 2026, when the makers confirmed that Ramayana Part One will release worldwide on November 5, 2026. Advance bookings are set to open on Dussehra, giving the film a festive push in the run-up to release. That announcement also settled the earlier confusion created by promotional material that had briefly pointed to November 6.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film is the first chapter of a planned two-part big-screen adaptation. The second part is scheduled for Diwali 2027, making this one of the most ambitious long-form film events mounted in recent Hindi cinema.

Cast, Crew And Story Setup

Ramayana Part One stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, with Sunny Deol playing Hanuman and Ravie Dubey cast as Lakshman. The project is backed by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG, and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

The film adapts the revered Indian epic for the big screen and is positioned as the opening act of a larger saga. The first installment is expected to establish the central conflict between Rama and Ravana while laying the emotional foundation for the larger war to come.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Animal in 2023, which emerged as the biggest commercial success of his career. The same year, he also featured in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, a romantic comedy directed by Luv Ranjan. Before that, he starred in Brahmastra Part One: Shiva in 2022, a fantasy spectacle directed by Ayan Mukerji.

Looking ahead, Ramayana Part One is his major confirmed 2026 theatrical release. He is also attached to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which remains one of his most closely watched upcoming films.
