Ramayana: Yash To Finally Shoot His Part As ‘Ravana’ From March After Delays, Ranbir Kapoor To Join Him Later

Yash will start filming for his role as Ravana in Ramayana this March after some delays. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita & has created a lot of buzz since its announcement.

Although the shoot for Yash‘s part was initially set to begin in December, last year, fresh reports now reveal that Yash will begin his part this year, taking the film one step closer to completion.

What Yash Said About Playing Ravana In The Film

The KGF 2 actor recently shared why he was excited to play Ravana. He was attracted to the character’s depth and complexity, calling it the most exciting role he’s ever had.

He also mentioned that Ramayana is a film that requires great commitment, with a strong team effort. Yash was introduced to the film by Namit Malhotra, who played a big part in bringing him on board.

After discussing the project, Yash was convinced to join and even decided to co-produce it. He finds Ravana to be a fascinating character with a lot of potential for a unique portrayal.

Pre-production for the film is already well underway. Leaked pictures of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in their costumes for Lord Ram and Sita have added to the excitement. Yash’s role as Ravana has generated a lot of interest, with fans eager to see how he will bring the character to life.

The supporting cast is also impressive. Lara Dutta will play Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol will portray Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha will take on the role of Manthara.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana will be a two-part film, set to release in 2025. The first part is scheduled for Diwali 2026, with the second part following on Diwali 2027.
