Ranveer Singh is all set to take a big step in his career. After starring in 18 films over the past 15 years, he is now moving into film production. The actor is planning to launch his own production company this year.
Ranveer Singh To Start His Production Firm In Mumbai
Ranveer is reportedly setting up an office for his production company near his Prabhadevi property in Mumbai. The company is already registered, and things are moving fast.
Filmmaker Aditya Dhar, who worked on Dhurandhar, is joining Ranveer in this new venture. They are rumoured to be working on some exciting new projects together.
One of these could be The Immortal Ashwatthama, a long-awaited epic from Dhar. Though nothing is confirmed yet, fans are excited. Ranveer is also said to be working on a post-apocalyptic action film, but details are being kept secret.
This decision comes after a tough time for Ranveer at the box office. Many of his recent films didn’t do well, and some potential projects faced financial issues.
Now, by producing films, Ranveer hopes to take charge of his own projects. He wants to ensure that the films he’s part of match his creative vision.
A source close to him mentioned that he is eager to collaborate with people who share his goal of making fresh and exciting films.
Ranveer Already Registered A Production Company Years Ago
This isn’t Ranveer’s first attempt at production. In December 2017, he registered a company called “Maa Kasam Films,” but it didn’t take off.
It’s unclear whether he’ll bring this back or start something new. What’s clear is that he’s committed to building his own production studio. His wife, Deepika Padukone, who has her own company, KA Productions, is supporting him as he takes this next step.
Ranveer’s first project as a producer and actor is Dhurandhar, an action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar. In this film, Ranveer plays a RAW agent in Pakistan, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and R. Madhavan. With a huge budget of Rs 250 crore, it’s one of his biggest projects yet.
As for Don 3, fans have been waiting for the next chapter in the Don saga. However, production hasn’t started yet. Though it’s scheduled to begin in June, Ranveer’s other commitments have delayed pre-production. So, fans will have to wait a bit longer.
In addition, Ranveer’s superhero film Shaktiman has been shelved indefinitely, disappointing many fans.
