The comedy classic Andaz Apna Apna is making a comeback, and it’s bringing two of Bollywood’s biggest stars along for the ride.
Originally released in 1994, the film, featuring Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, is regarded as one of the iconic comedies in Indian cinema. It not only entertained audiences but also promoted the spirit of self-reliance in India.
The film introduced us to fictional companies like Chaudhary and Sons and Mehta Textile and the popular phrase, “when two friends drink tea in the same cup, love increases.”
Andaz Apna Apna is also known for its quirky recipes, like Kali Mirch Laddu, Ginger Halwa, and Bitter Gourd Soup. Whether or not those dishes agree with you, the film is sure to leave you with a stomach ache from laughing too hard.
Salman Khan & Aamir Khan To Come Together After 30 Years For Andaz Apna Apna 2?
According to reports from Dainik Bhaskar, Aamir and Salman may reunite for a sequel to this beloved film after nearly 30 years. Rajkumar Santoshi, who directed the original, is already working on the script for Andaz Apna Apna 2.
Last year, there were rumours about the film being made with actors Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, titled Andaz Naya Naya. However, the buzz has shifted back to Aamir and Salman, sparking excitement among fans.
A source close to the project revealed that Santoshi has recently completed Lahore 1947. Now, the post-production work will be done on it for the next two to three months. Most of the focus is on the writing of Andaz Apna Apna 2. It will be written keeping Salman and Aamir in mind, focusing on how these two characters will behave after 30 years.
Rajkummar Santoshi Is Close To Finishing Lahore 1947
Currently, Santoshi is busy wrapping up Lahore 1947, a project produced by Aamir Khan that features Sunny Deol. Most of the film has been shot, but some patchwork is still pending.
Initially, Sanjay Dutt was slated to star in the film, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he was replaced by Sunny. The change in casting came after the success of Gadar 2, which reignited interest in Deol’s involvement in the film.
Salman Khan & Aamir Khan’s Work Front
On their respective work fronts, Salman is currently filming Sikander, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie is being shot in various locations across India and internationally.
Meanwhile, Aamir is focused on his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, which aims to pay tribute to children with special needs.
