Salman Khan and director Atlee’s A6 has hit a roadblock due to casting and funding issues. This big-budget action film is now on hold due to casting problems. The actor’s fans were excited about the project, but its future is now uncertain.
Atlee Approached Will Smith After Struggle To Cast A South Superstar?
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Atlee wanted a South superstar to star alongside Salman Khan. He first approached Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, but talks with both actors did not work out. After that, he considered Hollywood star Will Smith. Salman even helped Atlee connect with Smith, and their discussions were moving in the right direction.
However, the film’s producer (Sun Pictures) had other plans. They insisted on having a South superstar in the film. Since Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were unavailable, they were not interested in moving forward without a major South Indian actor. As a result, they asked Atlee to pause the project and rethink the casting.
Salman Khan & Atlee’s Collab Temporarily On Hold
According to the source mentioned in the report, A6 is not cancelled despite this major problem. Salman and Atlee are still discussing possible solutions. They both see this as a dream project and are trying to meet Sun Pictures’ demands. A final decision is expected by the end of March.
This film created huge excitement, especially with Atlee’s success in films like Jawan and Bigil. Salman Khan was also thrilled about the collaboration, but this delay has now been disappointing for fans.
With the project on hold, it is unclear what will happen next. Atlee might have to find a new South star or take a different approach to convince Sun Pictures.
For now, fans can only wait for an official update, hoping that Salman Khan and Atlee’s film will soon be back on track.
