Salman Khan And Sanjay Dutt’s 7 Dogs Locks August 21 India Release After Middle East Premiere

Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt are heading back to the big screen together, this time in an international action spectacle. 7 Dogs, which has already premiered across the Middle East, is now officially set for its India theatrical release on August 21, giving Indian audiences a fresh chance to watch the two stars share screen space once again.

The film is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the filmmaking duo known internationally for staging muscular, high-octane action. 7 Dogs is led by Egyptian stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, and has been mounted as a large-scale Saudi production. Its India release adds a new chapter to a film that has already drawn attention for its cross-border cast and its Bollywood connection.

The India Release Brings Salman Khan And Sanjay Dutt Back Into Focus

The biggest talking point around 7 Dogs remains the presence of Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, whose appearances in the trailer quickly sparked fan interest. In one scene, Salman, dressed in a white suit, says, “You know what he does? He documents his whole life.” In another moment, he asks, “Why do you look like a criminal to me?”

Sanjay Dutt also features in the trailer, seen walking alongside a group of men while holding a gadget, adding to the film’s action-heavy intrigue. Their reunion carries an added layer of nostalgia, given their earlier collaborations in Saajan, Chal Mere Bhai and Yeh Hai Jalwa. More recently, they also came together in 2025 for AP Dhillon’s Old Money.

A Crime Thriller Built Around A Dangerous Syndicate

7 Dogs revolves around a criminal organisation of the same name and a powerful new drug called Pink Lady. The story follows Interpol officer Khalid Al-Azzazi, who arrests Ghali Abu Dawood, a senior member of the syndicate. A year later, when the network resurfaces with a plan to spread the drug across the Middle East, Khalid is forced to team up with Ghali to stop it. The film has been written and produced by Turki Al-Sheikh.

The scale of the film, its international setting and its mix of Middle Eastern and Indian star power have helped it stand out in the action genre space.

Salman Khan’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Salman Khan was last seen in the 2025 theatrical release Sikandar, which released on March 28, 2025. He is also attached to Battle of Galwan, a confirmed 2026 theatrical release but it has been delayed multiple times. That places 7 Dogs as another significant 2026 screen outing tied to his current action-driven phase.

Sanjay Dutt, meanwhile, has stayed consistently active across industries. His recent 2026 releases include KD: The Devil and Dhurandhar: The Revenge. He is also attached to Baaghi 4, which remains one of his notable confirmed forthcoming commercial titles. With 7 Dogs, Dutt adds another international action project to a packed line-up that reflects his continued presence in big-scale mainstream cinema.
