Salman Khan starrer Sikandar is still in ‘work in progress’ mode with less than two weeks left for its grand Eid release. The highly anticipated action film is yet to lock its trailer, while last-minute patch shoots continue.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the first full glimpse of the film, but behind the scenes, the team of AR Murugadoss directorial is racing against time to meet deadlines.
Sikandar Patchwork In Progress
Over the weekend, two additional shoots were conducted, hinting at ongoing tweaks to the final product.
A crew member revealed to mid-day, “On Saturday, a small action bit was filmed with a crowd of about 50 people at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle. The next day, another small shoot took place at Filmalaya Studio. These shots will be used in the trailer, which is being cut. The patchwork shoots ranged between 15 minutes to an hour, but were important for the movie.”
Despite these last-minute adjustments, the production team remains confident that Sikandar will be ready in time. The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, was expected to release its trailer in early March, but the schedule has been tighter than expected.
Industry Concerned Due To Marketing Delays By Salman Khan Starrer
Industry insiders suggest that the rushed timeline has impacted the marketing rollout.
A distributor said, “Usually, a film builds momentum with a teaser, followed by a trailer. Here, there’s no sign of a trailer yet. The team will have to rely heavily on Salman’s star power and a shorter promotional window. The advance booking will probably begin within a day of the trailer’s release. You aren’t giving the audience any time to decide whether they want to watch it on the first day.”
However, the makers have been keeping fans engaged with frequent song releases. A source from the production team explained, “Murugadoss is meticulous and wants to deliver an action-packed spectacle. The post-production team is working round the clock. With the consistent song drops, the audience has already been introduced to Sikandar’s world. The trailer will only heighten their excitement.”
Sikandar Team Confident Of Its Eid 2025 Release
Despite the crunch, the team is confident that Sikandar will meet its March 28 deadline. A source assured, “It’s a race against time, but Salman and Murugadoss are clear on delivering a blockbuster.”
With fans eagerly waiting and expectations soaring, it would be interesting to see when the much-awaited trailer will finally drop.
