The key issue for Aakhri Sawal is not just the low opening day but the lack of any substantial weekend surge. Hindi releases depending on word of mouth usually need a much stronger Saturday and Sunday climb to signal recovery. Here, the growth stayed too modest to shift trade sentiment.
Overseas, the film has added Rs 40 lakh gross, taking its worldwide gross total to Rs 2.70 crore by the end of the opening weekend. That leaves the film with very little cushion as it heads into the weekday test, where collections often fall further unless strong audience traction is already in place.
Its release journey had also hit a bump before opening. Aakhri Sawal missed its original May 8, 2026 release and finally arrived in cinemas on May 15 after a delay linked to certification issues. Any hope that the extra week would help sharpen interest has clearly not reflected in the opening numbers.
