Akshay Kumar and Radhikka Madan‘s highly anticipated film Sarfira is all set to hit theatres on July 12. On June 14, Akshay Kumar unveiled a new poster from the film, announcing the release date. This Bollywood drama is a remake of actor Suriya’s critically acclaimed Tamil film Soorarai Pottru.
After delivering hits like Baby, Airlift, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and Special 26, Sarfira marks Akshay Kumar’s return to the genre he excels in – social dramas. The trailer of Sarfira is scheduled for release on June 18.
Akshay Kumar Dops FIRST Poster Of Sarfira
Sharing the new poster on Instagram, Akshay wrote, “The story of a man who dared to dream big! And for me, this is a story, a character, a film, an opportunity of a lifetime.” The poster features a caption, “Dream so big, they call you crazy.” Akshay Kumar is seen posing stylishly wearing black sunglasses.
Alongside Akshay and Radhika, Sarfira also stars Paresh Rawal and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles. The film is directed by National Award winner Sudha Kongara.
Sudha has previously helmed films like Irudhi Suttru (Tamil), Saala Khadoos (Hindi), which was also made in Telugu as Guru, and the original Tamil film Soorarai Pottru.

Written by Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi, with dialogues by Pooja Tolani, and music by GV Prakash Kumar, Sarfira is produced by Aruna Bhattia (Cape of Good Films), South superstars Suriya and Jyothika (2D Entertainment), and Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment).
