Shah Rukh Khan’s lavish bungalow ‘Mannat’ is a famous landmark in Mumbai. Fans flock to the residence daily, hoping for a glimpse of the superstar. Now, there’s news that SRK and his wife Gauri Khan are planning a big upgrade. They intend to add two new floors to the property, which is expected to cost Rs 25 crore.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat Will Be Extended To 8 Floors
A report from Times Now reveals that Gauri Khan applied to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in November 2024 for permission to expand the house. The MCZMA reviewed the request during meetings on December 10 and 11.
However, approval has not yet been granted. If it goes through, Mannat will grow from six floors to eight, with the new floors adding a luxurious touch to the property.
Mannat was built in 1914 and is a heritage site. The current house covers more than 2,000 square metres. Adding two more floors will make it even grander and more exclusive.

Shah Rukh Khan Gears Up To Shoot King
While Gauri works on the home expansion, Shah Rukh is preparing for his next film. He will star in the action thriller King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan. This will be a special project as Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan will make her acting debut alongside him. Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma will also appear in the movie.
The first schedule for King is set to begin in Poland at the end of January 2025. The crew plans to shoot at unique locations in Warsaw before moving to other spots in Europe.
The production team plans to film in India after shooting in Europe. They will begin filming in Europe in January 2025, using unexplored locations. After that, they will return to India for more filming. The movie is set to release during Eid 2026.
Additionally, Shah Rukh Khan will lend his voice to the Hindi version of Mufasa: The Lion King, which is set to hit theatres on December 20, 2024.
