In a quiet show of solidarity that did not need any grand announcement, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted arriving at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital late on February 21, 2026, to check on Salim Khan. The veteran screenwriter and Salman Khan’s father has been admitted to the facility since February 17, and the Khan family’s inner circle has been steadily dropping in as he recovers.
SRK, who kept a low profile during his visit, arrived by car and was seen leaving the premises after spending close to an hour inside. The late-night visit instantly drew attention, not because of any public statement, but because it underlined how personal the moment is for the family and how strong the bond runs between the two Khans beyond the glare of the industry.
Shah Rukh Khan Checks In On Salim Khan At Lilavati Hospital
Shah Rukh Khan’s visit came on an evening when Salman Khan was also seen at Lilavati Hospital. Later the same day, Malaika Arora, who was previously married to Arbaaz Khan, was also photographed arriving at the hospital. Others who visited include Zeeshan Ziauddin Siddique and celebrity photographer Avinash Gowariker.
Salim Khan, 90, was taken to the hospital on the morning of February 17. According to the medical update shared earlier by the treating team, he suffered a brain haemorrhage and was placed on ventilator support as a precautionary measure, not because he was in a critical condition. The following day, doctors performed a Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) procedure as part of his treatment and assessment.
Dr. Jalil Parkar had also shared that Salim Khan was moved to the ICU for observation, with the intention to gradually reduce support depending on his progress. Around that time, the family also objected to confidential medical details being discussed publicly without consent.
For now, those close to Salim Khan continue to keep vigil with regular hospital visits, with SRK’s late-night check-in standing out as one of the most visible gestures of support.
