Nearly a year after its global debut, Jawan, directed by Atlee and featuring Shah Rukh Khan in a captivating lead role, has officially secured a release date in Japan. The action-packed film is eagerly anticipated to make its Japanese cinema debut on November 29 of this year, with distribution entrusted to Twin, a prominent and trusted distributor of Indian cinema within Japan’s vibrant film market.

Jawan Advance Bookings To Gein In Japan From THIS Date

The announcement of Jawan‘s Japan release came with a splash on their official Twitter account, featuring a trailer and poster celebrating its status as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. Advance ticket sales for Jawan in Japan will kick off on July 5th, nearly five months ahead of its premiere. Early buyers will also receive exclusive posters of Shah Rukh Khan from the song “Chaleya“.

Jawan Stands As 2nd Highest Overseas Gosser So Far

Currently, Jawan stands as Bollywood’s second highest-grossing film overseas, excluding China, with earnings of USD 47.60 million. It trails behind Pathaan, which grossed USD 47.85 million, largely due to its success in Japan where it earned JPY 45 million (USD 300K). With its upcoming release in Japan, Jawan aims not only to surpass Pathaan‘s Japanese earnings but also to exceed its total overseas box office.

Shah Rukh Khan takes on a dual role in the film, supported by Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover in key roles.
