After Kabir Singh’s soaring success, Shahid Kapoor is on cloud nine. The actor has been much appreciated for his performance in the movie. After the remake of the Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, the Jab We Met actor is all set for another remake.
The actor is preparing hard for the Hindi remake of Telegu film ‘Jersey’. Shahid will be seen as a cricketer and hence he has already started training his cricketing skills for the role. The film will be directed by Gowtham Tinnauri who directed the original as well.

According to a source, Shahid is “learning the ropes of playing a cricketer on-screen by regularly going for the cricket sessions.”
Talking about the film, Shahid had earlier said, “It took me some time to decide what to do next after ‘Kabir Singh’. But the minute I saw ‘Jersey’, I knew I wanted it to be my next. It is a wonderful inspiring and personal human journey that I connected with deeply. “
Jersey is a sports drama that revolves around a failed cricketer, played by Shahid Kapoor, who decides to revive his cricketing career in his late 30s despite everyone being skeptical of his ability to do so. The Hindi remake is a joint production by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations, Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts and Aman Gill’s Brat Films. The film will release on August 28, 2020.
