Siddhant Chaturvedi Reiterates Yuvraj Singh Biopic Dream Ahead of Do Deewane Seher Mein Release

Siddhant Chaturvedi is in that rare, buzzy pre release window where every appearance doubles as a temperature check on what he wants next. With Do Deewane Seher Mein hitting theatres on February 20, the actor has once again put his most persistent dream role back on the table, and he did it with the kind of conviction that reads less like a wishlist and more like a mission statement.

In a recent conversation, when asked which cricketer’s life he would most like to bring to the screen, Siddhant’s answer did not waver for a second: Yuvraj Singh.

The Latest Update: Siddhant Doubles Down On Yuvraj Singh As His Dream Biopic

“Biopic, of course all the time. I have kept telling this from day one, since 2019, and I’ll say it even now and manifest that one day it happens, Yuvraj Singh. Because his journey has been incredible; it’s been a rollercoaster ride. I have loved and adored him through all his games, his play, his lifestyle, and the problems and tragedies he has faced. He’s an icon, and the world needs to see the film and know his story,” Siddhant said.

It is not just the specificity of the pick that lands, but the timeline. Siddhant has been publicly manifesting this casting since 2019, and he is still saying it out loud at a moment when his slate is getting bigger and more varied. In other words, this is not a passing fan boy thought, but a role he has actively been holding space for.

The timing also feels deliberate. With Do Deewane Seher Mein positioning him in a softer, more vulnerable romantic register, Siddhant is also reminding audiences that he is hungry for real life parts that demand transformation, emotional stamina, and the ability to carry legacy on screen.

Where Do Deewane Seher Mein Fits Into This Moment

Backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Do Deewane Seher Mein is directed by Ravi Udyawar and pairs Siddhant opposite Mrunal Thakur. Siddhant plays Shashank, while Mrunal is seen as Roshni, in a romance that is being sold on tenderness and lived in messiness rather than big poster perfection. The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal, and Bharat Kumar Ranga, and releases theatrically on February 20, 2026.

Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Over the last 48 months, Siddhant has moved between theatrical titles and streaming led conversation starters. His recent releases include Dhadak 2 (2025) opposite Triptii Dimri, and the theatrical action film Yudhra (2024), directed by Ravi Udyawar. On OTT, he starred in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023), which released on Netflix alongside Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav.

Next, he will be seen in Do Deewane Seher Mein (2026), followed by the filmmaker biopic V. Shantaram, in which Siddhant plays legendary director Shantaram Rajaram Vankudre. The project has been officially announced with a first look, and Siddhant has called it “a great responsibility and an honour” to step into the icon’s shoes. He is also attached to Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling, which is currently listed as in filming.
