Sidharth Malhotra and Sara Ali Khan will soon star together in a film directed by Panchayat’s Deepak Mishra. The film will explore a rural folk story, and it will be the first time the two actors are paired on screen.
This untitled film will offer a fresh and emotional narrative rooted in Hindu mythology. This project marks a shift for both actors, as they’ve mostly appeared in modern settings before. The film aims to create a unique movie experience similar to Kantara, and production is expected to begin in the second half of 2025.
Sidharth Malhotra To Hear Final Narration Before Signing The Film
A source close to the film told India Today, “The makers have the vision to create a unique cinematic experience like Kantara with the feature film. Sid is expected to hear the final narration in November, with the plan to take the film on floors in 2025. He will sign the dotted lines once the final narration takes place.”
This film is the result of a collaboration between Ektaa Kapoor and TVF, aiming to bring fresh, commercially viable content to the big screen. Both have previously worked on projects that have captured the audience’s interest, and this rural folk tale is expected to continue that trend.
Sidharth & Sara Ali Khan’s Work Front
Sidharth Malhotra is preparing for Race 4, alongside Saif Ali Khan. The film is set to begin production in January 2025, with writer Shiraz Ahmed confirming that the script and casting are almost complete. The full cast will be revealed soon.
On the other hand, Sara Ali Khan is also set to appear in Metro… In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, which will be released on November 29, 2024. The film features an ensemble cast, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and others.
