Ajay Devgn is back as the lovable Jassi in the highly anticipated sequel to Son of Sardaar. The action-comedy, which took Bollywood by storm in 2012, is gearing up for a fresh release, with the new instalment set to hit theatres in July 2025.
The original film, directed by Ashwni Dhir, saw Devgn in the lead role, surrounded by a star-studded cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Juhi Chawla. It was a blend of action, comedy, and family drama that connected with audiences. Now, the sequel is all set to recreate the magic.
Son Of Sardaar 2 Release Date Revealed
The upcoming sequel promises to continue the fun, but with a few changes. As per the latest updates, it is set for release on July 25, 2025.
This time around, the leading lady of Son of Sardaar 2 will be Mrunal Thakur. The casting shake-up marks the first time Devgn and Thakur will share the screen, and fans are eager to see their chemistry unfold. Along with Thakur, Son of Sardaar 2 will feature an ensemble cast, with Sanjay Dutt returning as Billu Paji, the character known for his fierce loyalty and larger-than-life persona.
Other new additions to the cast include Kubbra Sait, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar.
The film is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, NR Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja, with Jio Studios backing the project.
