Ayushmann Khurrana has created a genre by himself after doing socially relevant movies that address real issues but with a touch of humor. Some of the most successful films in his career have been Vicky Donor, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Bala and Badhai Ho, etc. One of the most successful collaborations of his life has been with director Sriram Raghavan. The two did the 2018 thriller Andhadhun, which was a major critical and commercial success.
Now, Sriram has recently revealed that he wants to work with Ayushmann again. This was when he was asked about his plans for a sequel to Andhadhun. “Unfortunately, there is no sequel to Andhadhun because the movie should end where it ends.” However, the director praised Ayushmann and talked about their future plans. “Ayushmann is a superb actor and I would love to work on something as challenging for us,” he said.
Ayushmann is also very eager on teaming up with Sriram again. At a recent event, the talented actor “I would love to work with Sriram sir again and again, but that is in his hands. As soon as he tells me that he has something for me, I will be game to do it immediately.”
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Future Projects
Khurrana, who is known for playing unconventional roles, will be next seen in the comedy-drama Dream Girl 2. The film is a sequel to his 2019 flick Dream Girl. In 2022, he had three back-to-back releases. These were Anek, Doctor G, and An Action Hero. Sriram, on the other hand, is working on his thriller titled Merry Christmas. The film stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi and is slated to release in theaters by the end of this year.
