While fans were expecting Lahore: 1947 to be his next release, it appears that plans have shifted. Sources close to the production reveal that Lahore: 1947, produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, has been pushed to a later date.

Jaat promises to showcase Sunny Deol in a powerful, larger-than-life role. The film is described as an action-packed entertainer, with a strong patriotic theme running through its narrative.
“Jaat has all the elements that Sunny’s fans love – intense action, deep emotions, and a strong patriotic flavour. It’s the perfect film to release around Republic Day,” a source shared with Pinkvilla.
Mythri Productions and Sunny Deol both feel that the Republic Day weekend is the ideal launchpad for a film of this scale.
The premise of Jaat is expected to be a high-octane drama, blending intense action sequences with an emotional core. The film reportedly explores themes of patriotism, honour, and sacrifice, which have been central to Sunny Deol’s most iconic roles.
Audiences can expect thrilling visuals, explosive action, and Sunny delivering his signature punchlines. “This is going to be a treat for cinema lovers,” the source added.
Lahore 1947 Eyeing On Release Date Between March & June
Lahore 1947 is undergoing extensive post-production work. The film, which depicts the tumultuous period of Partition, requires detailed visual effects and meticulous attention to historical accuracy. Director Rajkumar Santoshi and his team are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the film meets high standards.
While Lahore: 1947 was originally planned for Republic Day, it will now be released sometime between March and June 2025. The decision to delay was made to give the film’s visuals the care and attention they need to authentically capture the era.
Interestingly, Aamir Khan has another film in post-production, Sitaare Zameen Par, which also features him in a lead role. Both films are expected to release within the same time frame, with plans for a grand slate announcement in the near future.
