In June, Dinesh Vijan‘s production company unveiled its lineup of 15 films, which included sequels to the popular movies Stree, Bhediya, and Shiddat. Additionally, they announced several new projects such as Murder Mubarak, Chhava, Happy Teachers’ Day, and others. One of the most anticipated films from this lineup is Shiddat 2 starring Sunny Kaushal and Wamiqa Gabbi.
Now, according to media reports, both the actors are in Budapest, which is the capital city of Hungary. The shooting of the film has already started and the team has been filming for a few days. A large part of the romantic scenes between Sunny and Wamiqa will be filmed in Budapest. The schedule is planned to wrap up on Saturday, 12 August. The team of Shiddat 2 will then head back to Mumbai to complete the rest of the schedule by the end of this month. Last month, its shooting had started in Mumbai where key scenes were captured before the team left for Hungary.
Wamiqa Gabbi Replaced Parineeti Chopra In Shiddat 2
In June, we got to know that Parineeti Chopra has opted out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Earlier, the shooting was set to take place October-November. Unfortunately, during that time frame, Parineeti Chopra has prior commitments with two other projects that are yet to be titled. There are also rumors circulating that Chopra and Raghav Chadha, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, who got engaged in May, are considering tying the knot towards the end of October, with the festivities extending into November. Because of these reasons, Parineet backed out of the film. She was then replaced by Wamiqa Gabbi.

About Shiddat 2
Shiddat (directed by Kunal Deshmukh) starred Radhika Madan and Sunny Kaushal and was released on 1 October 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar during the pandemic. Despite the film receiving mixed reviews, the makers decided to go ahead with a sequel. Earlier, there were reports that Radhika might reprise her role. But Wamiqa was eventually cast in the lead. Although it’s built as a sequel, it is actually not related to the first installment with a completely different love story. Unlike the first one, makers are planning to release the sequel in the theatres.
