Shah Rukh Khan was honoured at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where he received the prestigious Pardo Alla Carriera Award for his remarkable contributions to cinema.
The accolade adds to his already impressive collection of around 300 awards, which he proudly displays in his nine-storey office.
Shah Rukh Khan Showcases Some Of His Trophies On Each Floor Of His 9-Storey Building
In a candid interview with The Guardian, Khan shared details about his extensive trophy collection. “I do have a trophy room, and it’s bigger than this room!” he revealed.
He ae, “I have 300 awards, and every floor of my nine-storey office has some of them. Actually, it’s not just a trophy room but a library designed like an English library.”
Known as King Khan in the film industry, he admitted to being unabashed about his love for awards. He enjoys attending ceremonies and receiving accolades, though he feels a bit nervous when speaking at international events.
He further stated, “I want to represent Indian cinema well. I try to be on my best behaviour and control my sense of humour, given the significance of cinema for India.”
SRK Loves Receiving Awards
Previously, at the 2024 Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards in Mumbai, Khan expressed his “greedy” nature regarding awards. He won Best Actor for Jawan, and his joy was evident.
“I hadn’t received a Best Actor accolade in a long time. I started to doubt if I would win it again. I’m grateful to the jury and thrilled to be recognised,” SRKK said.
Shah Rukh Khan: Upcoming Project
Now, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next project, King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film, an action-packed thriller, features Khan alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan, and actor Abhishek Bachchan. It is being jointly produced by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand and SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
