Actress Tabu has landed a role in the upcoming Hollywood series Dune: Prophecy, according to a report by Variety. In the series, she will portray the character Sister Francesca in a recurring role.
This series serves as a prequel to director Denis Villeneuve’s 2021 film Dune.

Sister Francesca is described as strong, intelligent, and alluring, making a significant impact wherever she goes. Her character adds depth to the power dynamics within the palace, given her past as a significant love interest of the Emperor.
About Dune: Prophecy
Originally titled Dune: The Sisterhood when it received the green light in 2019, the series draws inspiration from the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
Set 10,000 years before the events of Dune, the show delves into the expansive universe of the franchise. It focuses on the origins of the Bene Gesserit through the story of two Harkonnen sisters facing formidable threats.
Besides Tabu, the series boasts a star-studded cast including Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, and Shalom Brune-Franklin in key roles.
Executive producer Anna Foerster has helmed multiple episodes of the series, including the premiere. Showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker heads the creative team, with Diane Ademu-John serving as co-developer and executive producer.

The Dune franchise has seen remarkable success with the release of two films: Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two. The latter hit theatres earlier this year in March. Collectively, the films have grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide.

Coming back to Tabu, her latest appearance was in the film Crew, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan. The movie featured a star-studded cast including Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
Apart from this Hollywood project, she also has Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha with Ajay Devgn.
