Adipurush, the highly anticipated Indian film directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar, is set to release on June 16, 2023, across 6500 plus screens in India. The film stars Prabhas as Raghava and Kriti Sanon as Janaki.
Despite its global release, there have been security concerns and disruptions in the screening schedule. In Telangana, some cinema enthusiasts resorted to vandalizing a theater due to the delay in showcasing the film.
In Sangareddy city, Telangana, a video circulating on the internet has gained significant attention. The footage captures a distressing incident at Jyothi Cinema, where individuals can be heard chanting “Jai Shri Ram” in the background while throwing objects at the theater’s glass windows. The motive behind this act of vandalism was the 40-minute delay in the screening of Adipurush, supposedly due to sound system issues.
The local authorities have filed a case and are currently conducting an investigation into the matter. Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is a collaborative production involving T-Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, and Pramod and Vamsi of UV Creations.
