The trailer for director Hansal Mehta’s latest thriller, The Buckingham Murders, has dropped, showcasing Kareena Kapoor Khan in a gripping new role.

The 2-minute and 34-second trailer kicks off with a tense series of interrogations. Kareena Kapoor Khan stars as Detective Inspector Jasmeet Bamra, a British-Indian detective embroiled in a challenging case. The plot revolves around the disappearance of Ishpreet Kohli, a young Sikh child.
The trailer reveals the mounting pressure on Bamra as the investigation into Kohli’s disappearance stirs up communal strife. The arrest of a Muslim teenager in connection with the case intensifies the violence, raising the stakes for Bamra as she delves into a web of secrets and accusations within the community of Wycombe.

About The Film
The film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival last year and is set for a limited theatrical release before its Netflix debut. Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan are the producers of the film. The screenplay is written by Raghav Raj Kakker, Aseem Arrora, and Kashyap Kapoor. Along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, the cast includes Ranveer Brar, Ash Tandon, Keith Allen, and others.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s previous box office hit, Crew, featured Tabu and Kriti Sanon, while her streaming debut was in Sujoy Ghosh’s Jaane Jaan, based on the novel The Devotion of Suspect X. Hansal Mehta’s last film, Faraaz, had a limited release in 2022, and he has since worked on the Netflix series Scoop.
The Buckingham Murders aims to launch a new franchise and will hit theatres on September 13.
