These States permits full occupancy in theatres starting with Sooryavanshi, others to open up on a stricter number

The central government has announced fresh guidelines as a part of the phased relaxation of restrictions of the coronavirus lockdown. In this announcement, the govt has eased the restrictions on movie theatres. Movie theatres across India will be now allowed to function with 100 percent occupancy from Monday.

To this announcement, only a few of the states have agreed to follow the new guidelines, whereas the other states will be still following the previous protocols with limited occupancy.

Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Gujarat/Saurashtra, and Delhi will be following the new guidelines by permitting full occupancy in Theatres. Punjab will be running with 66 percent, West Bengal with 70 percent, and the other states Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Bihar – Jharkhand, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, and Assam will adhere to the previous guidelines with 50 percent occupancy.

Post the 100 percent occupancy in theatres, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi is all set to be released on 5th November around Diwali. Soon after the news, the box office predictors have speculated that Sooryavanshi will put theaters on fire this Diwali. The film is said to be made up of around 120 to 150 crores budget and it is also being said that it is Akshay’s most expensive movie to date. The big festival Diwali can add some magical numbers in the first week.
