Yash, after the monumental success of the KGF franchise, is now collaborating with Geetu Mohandas for a high-octane action film titled Toxic. Following last year’s revelation about the project, it was confirmed that Nayanthara and Kiara Advani would join the cast. They were revealed to be playing the protagonist’s on-screen sister and love interest respectively.
Now, it’s been learned that Nayanthara and Yash have quietly begun shooting for Toxic in Mumbai.
Toxic To Have 150-Day Shoot Schedule In & Around London
Toxic is set to have an extensive shooting schedule in London. A source close to the development shared with Pinkvilla, “Toxic went on floors with Yash and Nayanthara schedule in India. This brief stint at real locations in India will be followed by a marathon schedule in London. Geetu Mohandas has planned a total of 200 days of shoot for Toxic, out of which a 150-day schedule will be done in and around London. The entire team will soon head to the UK to shoot some of the most pivotal scenes of the film there.”
Yash Will Play A Stylish Don In Toxic
The source added that Yash’s character in the film is that of a stylish don, but the treatment is notably different from his portrayal in the KGF franchise.
“While the character is that of an underworld don, the tone is very contemporary and international. The core conflict of Toxic and its treatment is inspired by the cult international series, Peaky Blinders,” the source revealed.
Toxic To Hit Theatres In April 2025
The exact shooting timelines have been kept under wraps as the Toxic team is developing the film with an air of secrecy, heightening curiosity about the project. This gangster-based action drama is slated to hit the screens on April 10, 2025, coinciding with the third-year anniversary of KGF 2.
Alongside Yash, Nayanthara, and Kiara Advani, Toxic also features Huma Qureshi as the antagonist. “Huma will be joined by some other actors too in the negative turn. It’s a rich ensemble of actors from across the country, and the idea of the Toxic team is to provide an uncompromised cinematic experience,” the source concluded.
