Triptii Dimri has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Dhanush in Tere Ushk Mein. Know what makes her idea choice for the role!

Triptii Dimri’s standout performance in last year’s blockbuster Animal has truly transformed her career. Despite delivering critically acclaimed roles in Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala, it was Animal that catapulted her into the limelight.

Now, Triptii is in high demand, with top filmmakers wanting to collaborate with her. One of her upcoming projects includes starring opposite Tamil superstar Dhanush in Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein.

Triptii Dimri To Romance Dhanush In Tere Ishk Mein

According to a report by Peeping Moon, Rai was impressed by Triptii’s work and believes she is perfectly suited for the emotionally challenging role opposite Dhanush’s ‘angry man’ character, Shankar. The film, set to be an AR Rahman musical, promises to be a tragic love story reminiscent of Raanjhanaa.

Tere Ishk Mein was announced over a year ago, but production delays arose as Dhanush focused on his commitments down south. With those now resolved, filming is set to commence in October 2024. The majority of shooting will take place in Varanasi and other parts of Uttar Pradesh over a two-month period.

Triptii Dimri & Dhanush’s Work Front

Triptii’s schedule is packed with highly anticipated releases. First up is the comedy Bad Newz, releasing on July 19, where she stars alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. Following this, she will appear opposite Rajkummar Rao in the comedy Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on October 11, and later in the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan for Diwali 2024. Closing out the year, she will star in the love story Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi, set for release on November 22.

Despite her skyrocketing career, there may be a slight delay in her project with Kartik Aaryan under Anurag Basu’s direction, as more work is reportedly needed on the script.

Meanwhile, Dhanush remains busy as well. His 50th film, the gangster drama Raayan, will hit theatres on July 26, which he is also directing, marking his second directorial venture. Fans can also look forward to seeing him in the pan-India mythological film Kubera alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
