Triptii Dimri has finally spoken out amid the controversy surrounding her absence at a recent event in Jaipur. The actress, known for her roles in Animal and Qala, was accused by event organisers of skipping a Nari Shakti event hosted by the FICCI FLO’s Jaipur chapter after allegedly charging Rs 5.5 lakh for her appearance.
In response to these claims, Triptii’s spokesperson issued a statement clarifying her position. The actress was in Jaipur to promote her upcoming film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which stars Rajkummar Rao.
Triptii Dimri Issues Official Statement After Claims Of Taking Rs 5.5 Lakhs & Skipping An Event
The statement asserted that Triptii attended all scheduled promotional activities and met her professional commitments in the city. “During the ongoing promotional campaign for her film, Triptii Dimri fully honoured her professional obligations, attending all scheduled events and sessions related to the film,” it read.
In her spokesperson’s statement, it was emphasised that Triptii did not agree to participate in any personal appearances beyond her promotional duties for Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
“Notably, she did not participate or commit to participate in any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties. It’s important to clarify that no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement in these activities,” the statement read.
About The Jaipur Event Controversy
The controversy erupted when reports suggested that Triptii had promised to attend the Nari Shakti event on Tuesday but failed to show up. Organisers expressed their outrage, claiming that they had entered into a financial agreement with her for her presence at the event.
One entrepreneur involved in the planning stated that they were prepared to take legal action against the actress and even called for a boycott of her and her film, accusing her of dishonesty.
Things took a dramatic turn during the event, as videos surfaced showing attendees vandalising Triptii’s poster and demanding her boycott. The film’s promotional material was also removed, highlighting the intensity of the backlash.
