Trishul 2 Confirmed! Anand Pandit Announces Sequel Ahead Of Amitabh Bachchan’s 2nd Birthday, Reveals Watching 1st Part Almost 60 Times

Trishul 2 has been announced, with Anand Pandit revealing plans for the sequel to the classic film ahead of Amitabh Bachchan’s 82nd birthday.

As Amitabh Bachchan‘s 82nd birthday approaches, excitement is building in the film industry. Producer Anand Pandit has announced a sequel to the classic 1978 film Trishul, sparking buzz among fans and film lovers.

Anand Pandit has a strong connection to Trishul and Bachchan. He has great admiration for the actor. In a mid-day report, he revealed having watched Trishul nearly 60 times. The film had a significant impact on him, particularly Bachchan’s character, Vijay.

Vijay’s story of rising from nothing to success in the construction business inspired Pandit to move from Gujarat to Mumbai to pursue his dreams. For him, Trishul 2 is not just a film; it’s a tribute to Bachchan, who influenced him even before they met.

The original Trishul, directed by the renowned Yash Chopra, was a huge success. It featured an impressive cast, including Sanjeev Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Rakhee, and Hema Malini. The plot follows Vijay, an illegitimate son, who seeks revenge on his father by dismantling his empire.

Anand Pandit’s Plans For Trishul 2

In the sequel, Pandit wants to explore Vijay’s life after he reconciles with the Gupta family. He aims to show how Vijay’s life unfolds after gaining acceptance in the Gupta family and whether he finds happiness with Geeta (Rakhee’s character) while healing from his past wounds.

This sequel is deeply personal for Pandit. He is eager to examine Vijay’s journey and see how his life evolves after a troubled past. Fans are curious to see if Vijay’s story will have a happy ending.

This Will Be His 5th Collaboration With Amitabh Bachchan

If all goes well, Trishul 2 will mark Anand Pandit’s fifth collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan. They have previously worked together on films like Sarkar 3 (2017), Chehre (2021), and Fakt Mahilao Maate (2022). Pandit also supported The Big Bull (2021), which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh’s son.

At this stage, no director is attached to the project. However, Pandit has a clear vision for the sequel and is actively working to bring it to fruition.
