Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur And Pooja Hegde Turn Up The Heat In Wow From Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

A dance-floor push, a glossy visual package and three stars leaning fully into commercial spectacle, WOW arrives as the first big burst of energy from Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Released by Tips Music, the new track places Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in a high-glam, high-tempo setup that feels built for festive playlists and theatrical buzz. It also sharpens attention on David Dhawan’s next big-screen entertainer, which is due in cinemas on May 22, 2026.

Wow Brings Dance Floor Energy To Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

Designed as an all-out party number, WOW features vocals by Harrdy Sandhu and Kiran Bajwa, with music by Tanishk Bagchi, Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai. The lyrics are by Rony and Gill. On screen, the number banks on movement, colour and familiar star chemistry, with Varun driving the performance beat while Mrunal and Pooja bring sparkle and poise to the visual frame.

Kumar Taurani of Tips Music summed up the song’s appeal in a way that also explains the makers’ confidence in it: “Good music finds its audience, you can’t force that. What we had here was the right combination from the start. Harrdy, Tanishq, Kiran, Rony and Gill each bring something distinct, and together they give this track a range that’s hard to manufacture. Add Varun, Mrunal, and Pooja to the visual and it just completes the picture.”

The rest of the creative team has echoed a similar mood. Harrdy Sandhu has described the track as instantly addictive, while Kiran Bajwa has highlighted its playful, let-loose quality. Tanishk Bagchi, along with Gill Machhrai and Rony Ajnali, has framed WOW as a contemporary, punchy number engineered to click quickly without losing replay value.

David Dhawan Returns To His Crowd-Pleasing Comfort Zone

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is directed by David Dhawan and stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. It is produced by Tips Films Ltd and co-produced by Maximillian Films (UK). The film is being mounted as a mainstream entertainer that blends comedy, romance and drama, a zone that has long shaped David Dhawan’s commercial identity.

The launch of WOW does more than push the film’s music forward. It also lands at a time when Varun’s screen choices have moved across genres and platforms, making this song drop feel like part of a larger moment in his career rather than just a routine promotional beat.

Varun Dhawan’s Busy Screen Run Sets Up A Commercial Homecoming

Varun Dhawan was last seen in Baby John in 2024, the Kalees-directed action drama co-starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. In the OTT space, he also headlined Citadel: Honey Bunny in 2024, the Prime Video series created by Raj & DK, opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Before that, he featured in Bawaal in 2023 with Janhvi Kapoor, a relationship drama that premiered on Prime Video.

Seen against that recent run, WOW feels like a smart bridge into his next theatrical phase. The song spotlights him in full star mode while also giving Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai the kind of upbeat musical entry that can travel quickly beyond the film’s core audience.
