Cbfc Clears Verity With An A Certificate
The Central Board of Film Certification has passed Verity with an A certificate, with the clearance dated September 29. The certified runtime is 118 minutes and 41 seconds. Alongside the intimate scene cut, the film was required to carry anti-smoking and anti-alcohol static messages in scenes showing smoking or drinking. Visuals of e-cigarettes were deleted, and a medicine brand name was blurred before the certificate was issued.
Those changes clear the way for the thriller’s India rollout, with the certification now becoming a key part of the conversation around the film’s release.
Intimate Scene Shortened Before India Release
The most significant revision concerns one of the film’s most closely watched moments. The board asked the makers to suitably modify intimate visuals by removing explicit portions, which resulted in a 23 second deletion.
