Vibe Box Office Collects Rs 2.70 Crore On Day 2, Lifting Kunal Kemmu’s Film After A Soft Opening

Kunal Kemmu’s Vibe showed a clear upward push at the Indian box office on Saturday, collecting Rs 2.70 crore nett on Day 2 after opening at Rs 1.80 crore nett on Friday. That takes the film’s two-day total to Rs 4.50 crore nett, giving the release some much-needed momentum after a modest start in cinemas.

The Saturday rise is significant for a film that opened below expectations but still had the advantage of weekend word of mouth ahead of it. With Sunday now in play, Vibe is targeting an opening weekend total of around Rs 7.50 crore nett, which would help steady its run in the crucial first three days.

Day 2 Growth Gives Vibe Breathing Room

The jump from Rs 1.80 crore on Day 1 to Rs 2.70 crore on Day 2 marks a healthy day-on-day increase for Vibe. For a film that needed an immediate weekend pickup, the growth suggests stronger footfalls on Saturday and a better hold in urban centres.

Vibe Box Office Collection:

Day 1: 1.80 cr

Day 2: 2.70 cr

Total: 5.50 crore nett

What now matters is whether the Kunal Kemmu starrer can convert that rise into an even better Sunday number. A solid third day would not only improve its opening weekend total but also strengthen its position heading into the first weekday test.

About Vibe

Vibe is a Hindi adventure comedy directed, written and co-produced by Kunal Kemmu, who also stars in the film. The cast includes Sparsh Shrivastava, Preity Zinta, Vanshika Dhir and Yashpal Sharma. The film released in theatres on September 18, 2026.

The story follows best friends Hardik and Bugs, whose lives spiral into chaos after a disastrous planetarium date pulls them into a secret operation led by the mysterious Madam H. Their journey takes them from Mumbai to Bangkok, blending friendship, confusion and a high-stakes mission into a comic caper.

Kunal Kemmu’s Recent And Upcoming Work

For Kunal Kemmu, Vibe arrives after Madgaon Express in 2024, the comedy thriller that marked his feature directorial debut and earned attention for its writing and madcap energy. Before that, he was seen in Kanjoos Makhichoos in 2023, a satirical comedy release, while his earlier OTT-led success Lootcase remains one of his better-known recent performances.

With Vibe, Kemmu has moved deeper into author-backed filmmaking, taking on writing, direction and a lead acting part in the same project. On the upcoming front, Golmaal 5 remains one of the major announced titles linked to his lineup, keeping him connected to one of Hindi cinema’s most commercially familiar comedy franchises.

If Vibe can build strongly through Sunday and hold decently on weekdays, its opening weekend may yet give the film the platform it needed after a soft Day 1.
