Vicky Kaushal has several exciting projects lined up in the coming years. After his role in Bad Newz (2024), he is preparing for his next film, Chhaava. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film sees Vicky portraying Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He stars alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in the film.
Now, fresh updates reveal that Vicky is reportedly in talks with Yash Raj Films (YRF) for two potential projects.
Vicky Kaushal To Join YRF Spy Universe After Alia Bhatt?
According to a Peeping Moon report, Vicky recently met with YRF’s Aditya Chopra to discuss two exciting roles. One project is said to be part of the YRF Spy Universe, where Vicky might headline a standalone cop film.
A source revealed that Aditya Chopra has big plans to expand the YRF Spy Universe. He aims to introduce new faces to continue the legacy of the Khans. Aditya wants Vicky Kaushal to lead one of the standalone cop films, bringing fresh energy to the growing cinematic universe.
However, this project is still in the early stages, and the team is waiting for the performance of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha before finalising Vicky’s involvement.
Actor To Also Star Alongside Ranbir Kapoor In Dhoom 4?
Another potential project for Vicky is Dhoom 4. There has been speculation about Ranbir Kapoor being cast in the lead role, which has traditionally been the antagonist in the Dhoom series. Sources suggest that Aditya Chopra plans to cast Vicky as the cop who would replace Abhishek Bachchan’s character (ACP Jai Dixit).
If confirmed, Vicky could be seen chasing Ranbir in an action-packed heist film, continuing the Dhoom legacy. However, these reports are yet to be officially confirmed.
Vick Kaushal: Work Front
Vicky currently has Chhaava (scheduled for release on February 14, 2025). It is followed by Love and War, a period drama with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. This one is expected to be released during Eid 2026.
Next, Vicky will also begin filming Maddock Films’ mythological film Mahavatar, which is set for release around Christmas 2026.
