Shah Rukh Khan isn’t just a Bollywood superstar, he is a guiding light for emerging talents in the industry. One such talent is Vishal Punjabi, a celebrity wedding photographer and founder of Wedding Filmer. Vishal’s collaboration with Shah Rukh spans over a decade, starting with a heartfelt letter he sent from London, expressing his desire to work with the superstar.
This letter led to an invitation from Shah Rukh to design a Bollywood portal website, marking the beginning of Vishal’s association with Shah Rukh’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.
Vishal Punjabi On His First Meeting With Shah Rukh Khan
Reflecting on his first encounter with Shah Rukh, Vishal shared with DJ Simz, “He was a lot smaller than I thought he would be. You imagine him to be bigger, but he was a little smaller, though very enigmatic and charming. When I first saw him, I was like, ‘Is that it?’ because you expect him to be bigger.”
Over the years, Vishal gained a wealth of knowledge from Shah Rukh about the world of cinema. He expressed his gratitude, saying, “He was a really good mentor to have. He guided me very well and taught me everything about cinema. I worked for him for 10 years before I started my own company.”
Vishal also revealed Shah Rukh’s hands-on approach to filmmaking, particularly his involvement in editing. “Shah Rukh is one of the best editors I have worked with,” Vishal remarked. “He edits every single film he shoots and acts in. He sits with the editor and goes through every scene. It’s insane the amount of work he does.”
SRK’s Work Front
Shah Rukh Khan is set to star in Sujoy Ghosh’s highly anticipated film, King. This film will also mark the debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan, in a lead role. Adding to the excitement, Abhishek Bachchan has been cast as the antagonist. The project is already generating significant buzz among fans and critics alike.
A source close to the development shared with Peeping Moon, “Abhishek is an actor whose full potential has yet to be fully realised. He has the ability to astonish audiences when given complex roles. ‘The King’ presents him in an out-and-out negative role for the first time in such a large-scale commercial movie, and he is sure to make a significant impact with his performance.”
The source added, “Jr. Bachchan was surprised when he was offered this role but accepted it immediately, intrigued by the depth of his character. It’s a special role, and Siddharth Anand has grand plans to present Abhishek in a manner audiences have never seen before.”
