When An Action Hero Didn’t Perform Well In Cinemas, Ayushmann Khurrana Said, “It Was A Bad Time Then.”

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana claims that the bad scheduling of the theatrical release of his critically acclaimed movie An Action Hero prevented fans from filling theatres. The action-comedy-thriller, directed by Anirudh Iyer, was released in theatres on December 2 to positive reviews but underwhelmed at the box office. Better reviews were given to An Action Hero when it debuted on Netflix in January.

Khurrana asserts that in the post-pandemic age, movie release scheduling is extremely important. The timing is absolutely important. The theatricals are returning, which is great, and I’m delighted that mid-budget films are doing well. There is definitely a bright side. I consider that to be a poor period. Later, a lot of people praised An Action Hero. These are the decisions I’ll keep making. The actor predicted that “theatricals will happen and we will succeed.”

The protagonist of An Action Hero was Jaideep Ahlawat‘s vengeful municipal councilman Bhoora, who chases after Manav (Khurrana), a celebrity actor who was involved in an accident while filming a movie.

About Dream Girl 2

The follow-up to Khurrana’s 2019 comedic drama, Dream Girl 2, will be released soon. In the film, Khurrana played a man whose mimicry of Pooja’s female voice draws attention from other people. The actor claimed that the second part is more enjoyable. “In a way, this is like Dream Girl 2.0 ‘… It is a very different situation. If you laughed at Dream Girl, you’re going to have ten times more fun with this. My second single-screen movie, I think. Since the majority of my flicks are multiplex pictures, this will be a lot of fun. I have high hopes for Dream Girl 2, he continued.

Khurrana responded to the question of whether sequels or franchises are safe nowadays by saying, “Sequels of blockbuster films will have a lot of traction, but eventually the script works.” In charge of directing Dream Girl 2 is the original director of the previous installment, Raaj Shaandilya. Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee also appear in the forthcoming film.
