Pushpa 2: The Rule has officially completed its certification process with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), receiving a U/A certificate. The board approved the film with a few minor changes, including muting three cuss words. Despite this, sources close to the CBFC have shared that the film received positive feedback overall.
With just a week left until its premiere, the excitement around Pushpa 2 continues to grow. The film has created a significant buzz in both the industry and among fans, with anticipation reaching new heights as the release date approaches.
CBFC Grants U/A Certificate To Pushpa 2: The Rule & Lauds The Performances
During the CBFC screening, the panel was particularly impressed with the film’s action-packed sequences, especially the interval, the highly anticipated Jathara scene, and the gripping climax.
Allu Arjun’s powerful performance in these moments stood out as a major highlight. Fans can expect intense action, thanks to director Sukumar’s carefully crafted high-energy scenes that are set to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
One of the best moments in the film is the Gangamma Thalli Jathara, a traditional folk festival celebrated in parts of south India. The Jathara scene is a significant part of the movie and has been praised by the CBFC members as one of the best. Allu Arjun’s fresh look in this sequence, which has been teased in posters and trailers, is also a major highlight.
Another exciting aspect of Pushpa 2 is the chemistry between Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna. Their scenes together are expected to be some of the biggest attractions in the film, particularly the rivalry between Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and Fahadh Faasil’s SP Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

At a runtime of 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes), Pushpa 2 is one of the longest Indian films of 2024. Despite its lengthy duration, the film is expected to draw large crowds, following the success of other long films like Kalki 2898 AD and Animal, both of which earned over Rs 900 crore worldwide.
Scheduled for release on December 5, Pushpa 2: The Rule brings back Allu Arjun as the iconic smuggler Pushpa. This sequel to Pushpa: The Rise promises to ramp up the action, drama, and emotion.
