Prithviraj’s cop film Cold Case heads for a direct-to-digital release on Amazon Prime Video?

If latest reports are to be believed then, actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming Malayalam film Cold Case could be heading for a direct OTT release.

If latest reports are to be believed then, actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming Malayalam film Cold Case could be heading for a direct OTT release.

It was earlier reported that the makers had signed a deal with Amazon Prime Video for its OTT rights after theatrical run but however it is being rumoured now that the deal may be for direct do digital release. However, an official word on the same is awaited.

The satellite rights of the film apparently have been acquired by the Asianet network.

Cold Case marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Tanu Balak, who has helmed the investigative thriller from Srinath V Nath’s script. Prithviraj has played the role of a top cop in the film. It also stars Aditi Balan of Aruvi as the female lead. Cold Case is bankrolled by Anto Joseph and Plan J Studios.

Apart from Cold Case, Prithviraj will next be seen in director Shaji Kailas’ Kaduva and Kuruthi, which is the debut of filmmaker Manu Warrier (Yudh, Coffe Bloom).
