“I don’t accept any offers for money” : Vijay Sethupathi Clarifies Rumours On Charging Record Fee For Masterchef Tamil

Denying any details regarding finances of the deal, he said, “I never accept any offer for the money. It’s the connect with the people that pushes me to be part of any film, or for that matter any show, like Masterchef."

It is confirmed that the Kollywood Superstar Vijay Sethupathi will be hosting the next season of the Masterchef Tamil, to be aired on Sun TV. All the fans are super excited to see him on the small screen again. He has already been a part of the television show, Namma Oru Hero for two years.

Confirming the same he said, “As you know Masterchef is an international cooking franchise. They have their show in many countries in many different languages. I will be hosting the Tamil version of Masterchef.”

Reportedly Vijay has been paid a whooping amount of money to be on the show. Denying any details regarding finances of the deal, he said, “I never accept any offer for the money. It’s the connect with the people that pushes me to be part of any film, or for that matter any show, like Masterchef. In fact I have been hosting another television show Namma Oru Hero for two years. This is a Tamil weekly show where I bring into the limelight unsung heroes, the working-class soldiers, the doctors, nurses, school teachers…For me they are the real heroes.”

The makers recently released an exciting promo, where he can be see tasting food and even washing vessels.

 

On the films front, the Tamil superstar is reportedly set to join the cast of Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram. He has also has teamed up with National Award-winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran for his next film, Vidhuthalai. He recently shot the first schedule of Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, co-starring Nayanthara and Samantha Akkineni.
