Nawazuddin Siddiqui is facing a tough phase as several of his films remain unreleased, while others have failed to impress audiences.

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, once known for his powerful performances, is facing a tough phase in Bollywood. Several of his films are stuck without release, while others have failed to impress. The industry’s focus on big-budget spectacles has made things even harder.

Multiple Films Of Nawazuddin Siddiqui Stuck Without A Release Date

Some of Nawazuddin’s completed films are yet to find a distributor.

  • Noorani Chehra (2022): This romantic comedy with Nupur Sanon aimed to challenge beauty standards. Despite being ready in 2022, it remains unreleased.
  • Sangeen (2021): A thriller set in London and Mumbai, co-starring Elnaaz Norouzi. Reports suggest the film was shelved due to its niche appeal.
  • Costao (2023): Produced by Vinod Bhanushali, this project was meant to showcase Nawazuddin’s versatility. However, no updates on its release have surfaced.
  • Bole Chudiyan (2019): A romantic drama with Mouni Roy and Tamannaah Bhatia. Financial issues and distribution troubles have reportedly kept it on hold for years.

Recent Films That Failed To Impress

Even his recent films that made it to screens struggled to leave a mark.

  • Rautu Ka Raaz (2024): This ZEE5 murder mystery featured Nawazuddin as a PTSD-afflicted cop. His performance got praise, but the slow narrative disappointed viewers.
  • Haddi (2023): A revenge drama where he played a transgender character. The bold theme caught attention, but critics found the execution weak.
  • Adbhut (2024): A supernatural thriller on Sony Max. Audiences criticised it for its predictable plot.
  • Tiku Weds Sheru (2023): A satirical rom-com produced by Kangana Ranaut. Its weak script and awkward lead pairing led to negative reviews.

Joining the list, his last theatrical release like Heropanti 2. Afwaah failed to perform at the box office.

Will Nawazuddin Siddiqui Bounce Back?

His struggles highlight the challenges faced by smaller, content-driven films in today’s industry. OTT platforms now prioritise theatrical releases, making it harder for indie films to secure buyers.

Nawazuddin remains one of Bollywood’s most talented actors. However, his recent choices show the need for stronger scripts and better planning. Whether he makes a comeback or stays in this slump depends on his next move.

For the unversed, he currently has Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Thama and Raat Akeli Hai 2 in his kitty.
