EXCLUSIVE: Ahan Shetty’s Tadap has a fair Tuesday at the Box Office

Tadap, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, had a good Tuesday, with 2 crores more coming in. Monday’s total was 2.25 crores, thus the romantic action drama has held up well in that regard. When compared to its Friday opening of 4.05 crores, the film is still doing well, and as long as Wednesday and Thursday stay above 1.5 crores, Tadap will be doing well.

The film has so far grossed 17.77 crores, and the next urgent target is 20 crores, which should be achieved before the end of the first week. After that, it’ll all depend on how much money comes in for the film after Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui arrives.

The Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor film is a multiplex release, therefore it won’t affect Tadap’s box office. However, the Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria starrer would have to maintain consistent box office numbers during the current week in order to keep a hold in the second weekend.

If not for the pandemic, the Milan Luthria-directed film would have performed much better, as the present public preference appears to be for event films, such as Sooryavanshi. Tadap has the potential to be a 50 crores production, but for the time being, it will have to settle with a lifetime budget of roughly 30 crores.

Friday: 4.05
