Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King is a huge hit in India. On its 13th day, the film crossed Rs 120 crore, earning Rs 9.40 crore across all languages, bringing its total to Rs 122.1 crore.
The film made a strong start, earning Rs 74.25 crore in its first week. By its second weekend, it surpassed Rs 100 crore, overtaking Godzilla x Kong to become the second highest-grossing Hollywood film in India for 2024.
Mufasa: The Lion King Grows By 57% On Day 13
Thanks to Shah Rukh Khan’s fan base, the Hindi version has been the biggest performer. On Wednesday, it earned Rs 3.5 crore. The English version followed with Rs 2.5 crore, and the Tamil and Telugu versions brought in Rs 2.25 crore and Rs 1.15 crore respectively.
The film’s earnings grew by 57% on its second Wednesday, putting it on track to surpass Deadpool and Wolverine, which earned Rs 126.41 crore by the end of its third week. This could make Mufasa: The Lion King the top-grossing Hollywood film in India for 2024.
