Akshay Kumar starrer historical saga released in more than 3700 screens but film disappointed from day one. The film opened to average 10.70 cr nett and with slim growth over weekend, it hardly managed 39 cr nett plus.
A lot of political patronage, tax free status by states and artificial waves resulted in notjing as film dropped on Monday by 55% plus and collected 5 cr nett.
Samrat Prithviraj further dropped by 20% today on Tuesday and will collect 4.25 cr nett only. The film is wrapping fast and now with 48.65 cr nett plus total in 5- days, it is looking for 55-56 cr nett week one.
It will not add much post week one with this trend and 65-68 cr nett will be the best result from here and that’s disaster for such a big film.

Samrat Prithviraj, previously named Prithviraj, stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Manav Vij, and Sakshi Tanwar, and introduces ex-Miss World Manushi Chhillar. It is produced by Aditya Chopra of YRF. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 3rd.
