After 8 years of Ek Villain, Ek Villain Returns is finally released in cinemas today, on 29th July 2022. The film stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria.
Ek Villain Returns has a few things working for it – chartbuster music, the sequel of a hit film, recall of a hit song from the prequel and a young star cast. Mohit Suri’s film was released today on almost 3000 screens.
The film had decent advances of 1.75 cr nett and had few things going for it – no competition from Hindi or Hollywood films, no holdover releases and hit music plus sequel value added to the film.
As expected, the film opened to good numbers and as per early trends, it should cross 7.05 cr nett on day one of evening onwards trend continues.
It’s a massy film so to an extent it’s critic proof and if it manages to hold via great climax then film has chance of scoring good 20-22 cr nett weekend but anything less than 18 cr will be bad result.
