The fifth installment of the wildly popular Housefull franchise has kicked off its theatrical run with a bang but then it dropped on weekdays.
The comedy, helmed by director Tarun Mansukhani, is a new spin on the franchise by introducing a murder-mystery angle aboard a lavish cruise ship.
Housefull 5 Crossed Average 43 Crore In 2nd Week
Film started struggling on 2nd Friday and collected 6.60 crore net. Film jumped on 2nd Saturday and collected 10.21 crore net and with slight growth, it added 12.30 crore on 2nd Sunday. Film crossed 29.11 crore net over 2nd weekend.
Film dropped on expected lines on 2nd Monday and collected 3.80 crore net. Film added 4.40 crore on 2nd Tuesday, 3.20 crore on 2nd Wednesday and 3 crore on 2nd Thursday. It crossed 43.51 crore net in 2nd week.
Film has total of 177.09 crore net and its heading for around 200 crore lifetime. This trend means that film is not a hit and might end up with below average lifetime number considering it’s mega budget and massive cast. It is struggling to cross lifetime 194.60 crore net of Housefull 4 which released 6 years ago!
Housefull 5 Collects Average Total Of 133.58 Crore In Week One
The film pulled in Rs 35.10 crore on Sunday, which is a 7% jump from Saturday’s earnings. It opened on Friday with Rs 24.35 crore and saw a boost on Saturday, due to Bakri Eid holiday, collecting Rs 31.38 crore. By Sunday, the total weekend figure stood at Rs 91.83 crore.
In terms of 2025 Bollywood openings, Housefull 5 currently ranks third, trailing behind Chhaava (Rs 31 crore) and Sikandar (Rs 26 crore) for day-one collections. Over the weekend, it recorded the second-highest haul of the year, behind Chhaava’s impressive Rs 121.43 crore.
While the film fell short of the Rs 100 crore weekend benchmark, the trend is strictly average. Industry watchers were looking at how the film performs on Monday, which was a make-or-break day for box office longevity.
Film managed to hold on decent level on Monday with 46% drop from Friday. Film collected 13.15 crore net on day 4 and with just 10% drop, it collected 11.70 crore net. Full dropped on Wednesday with 9.40 crore net number followed by 7.50 crore net on Thursday.
Film has total of 133.58 crore in week one which is strictly average result.

The film stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh reprising their franchise roles, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Nana Patekar. Released globally on June 6, the film continues to make waves for both its ensemble cast and inventive narrative structure.
