Ajay Devgn’s one of the most anticipated sequels, Raid 2 is released in theaters. The movie has already set the tone with 87,000 tickets sold on national chains for day one in advance booking.
Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production. The Ajay Devgn starrer is seeing an All-India release by Panorama Studios in association with PVR – Inox.
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, Raid 2 continues the story of fearless IRS officer Amay Patnaik as he takes on a powerful new adversary in the world of black money and corruption. The buzz around the film has been steadily building, with fans excited to see Devgn in action.
Back in 2018 the movie was a hit with 102 crore net number; this time, expectations were even higher and film delivered.
Raid 2 Crosses Solid 41 Crore In 2nd Week With Less Than 60% Drop From 1st Week
Film collected 5.01 crore net on 2nd Friday which is solid hold with negligible drop from day 8. Film jumped by 70% on 2nd Saturday and collected 8.52 crore net. Fill grew further on day 11 and collected 12.09 crore net. Film crossed 25.62 crore over 2nd weekend.
Film added 4.88 crore net on 2nd Monday with solid hold as Buddh Purnima holiday helped the film. Film collected 4.53 crore net on 2nd Tuesday followed by 3.32 crore net on 2nd Wednesday and 2.98 crore on 2nd Thursday. Film collected 41.33 crore net in 2nd week with less than 60% drop from week one which is solid hold.
Film has total of 140.22 crore net and it will cross 160 crore net lifetime. Film is set for clear run at box office as there is not much competition at box office. Super hit!
Raid 2 Crosses Good 98 Crore In Eight Days
The movie has been passed with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes, and is carrying positive buzz. Multiplex chains and single-screen theatres alike saw higher footfall on the film’s opening day, considering that it was a partial holiday. It is released across 3800 – 4000 screens all over India.
Film collected solid 19.71 crore net on day one which is above expectations as industry expected 15 – 16 crore on day one. Film dropped on day two on expected lines as holiday effect boosted day one numbers. Film collected 13.05 crore net on day two. Riding on good word of mouth, film jumped by 42% on day 3 Saturday which also augurs well for long run of the film. Film collected 18.55 crore net on day three followed by solid 22.52 crore net on day 4 Sunday.
Film held solid on day 5 Monday and collected 7.47 crore net. If one takes out day 1 holiday effect, then it’s less than 50% drop which is fantastic. Film held solid on day 6 and collected 7.45 crore net. Film added 4.81 crore net on day 7 Wednesday. Film grew on day 8 and collected 5.33 crore net.
Film has 8 – day total of 98.89 crore net which is fantastic result.
