Sarfira Box Office: After Scoring Another Growth On Sunday, Akshay Kumar Starrer Headed For Rs12 Cr Nett Weekend

Akshay Kumar‘s latest film, Sarfira, is rapidly winning over audiences with each passing day. Following positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth, the film’s box office performance is on an upward trend. Notably, it saw an impressive 80% rise in collection on the second day of release.

Initially, the collections were affected due to bad weather. However, Sarfira bounced back on Saturday with a notable increase in audience turnout.

Sarfira Headed Towards Rs 12 cr Weekend On Sunday

Coupled with glowing reviews, the film starring Akshay Kumar garnered Rs 2.50 crores on its opening day. By day 2, its earnings surged to Rs 4.50 crores, bringing its total collection close to Rs 7 crores.

Anticipation is high for day 3, with Sunday expected to bolster Sarfira‘s box office figures even further. Buoyed by an 80% jump in attendance, the film’s success seems poised to continue unabated.

Looking ahead, Sarfira is aiming for a Rs 12 crore nett weekend, bolstered by an estimated Rs 5 crore from Sunday alone.

About Sarfira

Directed by Sudha KongaraSarfira stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Radhika Madan, and is a remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020), based on GR Gopinath’s memoir, Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey, which won multiple accolades at the 68th National Film Awards.

The narrative revolves around Veerendra “Veer” Mhatre (Akshay Kumar), a former pilot driven by the ambition to establish a low-cost airline to serve the underprivileged. His journey is fraught with challenges posed by rival airline owners who threaten both his business and the safety of passengers.

Running at 153 minutes, Sarfira carries a U/A rating, suitable for viewers above 12 years with parental guidance. The film premiered today, July 12, 2024, across cinemas nationwide.
