Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Brand New Day Races To Usd 511 Million In North America, Crosses Usd 1.31 Billion Globally In 7 Days

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has turned its first week into a box office blitz, racing to USD 511 million in North America and USD 1.31 billion worldwide in just seven days. The Marvel and Sony release also crossed USD 1 billion globally in six days, underlining the sheer scale of its launch after a thunderous USD 927 million worldwide debut weekend.

The climb only intensified after opening weekend. By Thursday, the film had added another USD 29 million domestically, closing out its first seven days at USD 511 million in North America and USD 808 million from overseas markets. That sustained weekday hold is what pushed Brand New Day into truly rarefied territory for a modern tentpole.

How Spider-Man Brand New Day Overtook Endgame’S Seven-Day Pace

What gives the run its historical edge is the margin. By the end of day seven, Brand New Day was around USD 37 million ahead of where Avengers: Endgame stood at the same point in North America, allowing it to seize the fastest-to-USD-500-million record from one of the biggest theatrical giants of the last decade. The film’s USD 355 million domestic debut had already signaled that it was heading for a once-in-a-generation start.

That momentum was always part of the movie’s pitch. Speaking about the new chapter earlier this year, Tom Holland said, “I can positively say that the stuff we’re doing, we don’t need. The movie works and sings as it is. We’re just adding the icing on the cake in certain areas. We’re finding some ways to add a little bit more humor. We’re layering in a villain plotline in a new way and some really fun stuff.” The remark now lands differently with audiences showing up in huge numbers across territories.

Why The Global Response Has Been So Strong

Overseas, the film has delivered exactly the kind of broad turnout studios hope for from a major superhero event. China contributed USD 121 million in the opening weekend, helping drive the film across more than 73,500 international screens, while India has already emerged as another powerhouse market with USD 44 million, or Rs. 420 crore, in its opening week.

That worldwide embrace also reflects the appeal of the package behind the numbers. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Holland’s fourth standalone outing as Peter Parker and reunites him with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, while adding Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, and Mark Ruffalo to the ensemble. The 2026 action adventure follows Peter’s next chapter in a world that no longer remembers him, a reset that appears to have given the franchise fresh emotional and commercial fuel.
