Tu Hai Meri Kiran Turns Into A Box Office Disaster After 7-Day Run Ends At Rs 46 Lakh Nett

There is no softer way to put it. Tu Hai Meri Kiran has ended its first seven days in theatres with just Rs 46 lakh nett in India, a startlingly low total for a film led by Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. After a muted start, the psychological romantic thriller failed to build any momentum over the weekend and then collapsed sharply through the weekdays.

The day-wise trend tells the story of the film’s troubled run. It opened with Rs 12 lakh on day one, slipped to Rs 10 lakh on day two, recovered marginally to Rs 12 lakh on day three, and then fell hard to Rs 3 lakh on day four. The film added Rs 5 lakh on day five, followed by Rs 2 lakh each on days six and seven, taking the first-week total to Rs 46 lakh nett. For a theatrical release carrying recognizable faces, that is a disastrous outcome and leaves the film with no meaningful box office runway left.

Film even failed to recover its hair make up cost of actors or even camera rental!

Tu Hai Meri Kiran Box Office Collection:

Day 1: 12 lakh

Day 2: 10 lakh

Day 3: 12 lakh

Day 4: 3 lakh

Day 5: 5 lakh

Day 6: 2 lakh

Day 7: 2 lakh

Total: 46 lakhs nett

First Week Run Ends On A Flat Note

What makes the number more striking is the complete absence of a turnaround after the opening weekend. Usually, even poorly received films try to hold some ground through the first Sunday. Tu Hai Meri Kiran did not manage that. Its weekday fall was steep enough to push it into washout territory within the first week itself.

The seven-day total also underlines how little theatrical traction the film found despite the curiosity around Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal reuniting on screen. Instead of converting that pairing into footfalls, the film ran out of steam almost immediately after release.

Film Details And Release Context

Tu Hai Meri Kiran is a 2026 Hindi psychological romantic thriller written and directed by Karan Rawal. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal in the lead, with Ankit Gupta, Sherlin Seth and Zarina Wahab in the supporting cast. It was released in theatres on October 23, 2026.

The story follows Kiran, a bestselling author whose life takes an unsettling turn after she connects with a stranger named Samar through a mysterious phone call. Positioned as a relationship thriller with a psychological edge, the film arrived with an intriguing setup but could not translate that promise into box office pull.

Sonakshi Sinha And Zaheer Iqbal’s Career Context

For Sonakshi Sinha, the poor theatrical result comes after a phase where she has increasingly balanced films with streaming-led visibility. She was seen earlier in Double XL with Zaheer Iqbal, and has also remained active through OTT-facing projects that kept her in the conversation even when her big-screen output was limited. Zaheer, meanwhile, has had a smaller filmography, making Tu Hai Meri Kiran a significant theatrical test that has clearly not worked in his favour.

The film’s first-week total now places it among the weakest Hindi releases of the year in commercial terms, and unless there is an extraordinary late surge, its box office journey has effectively run its course.
