Sherni teaser out: Fierce & Fearless tigress Vidya Balan finds her way in this Amazon original thriller!

Vidya shared the teaser of her next Amazon Original movie, Sherni with an intriguing caption and wrote: “A tigress always knows the way! Ready to hear the Sherni roar? Here’s the official teaser.”

Directed by Amit Masurkar and written by Aastha Tiku, Sherni has Vidya playing the role of an IFS (Indian Forest Service) office. Amit Masurkar had also helmed the critically acclaimed 2017 movie Newton. Sherni is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series, who described Vidya Balan’s character as a “never-seen-before avatar.”

The impactful teaser that begins with Vidya navigating a forest, presumably in search of tigress or Sherni and ends on a cliff-hanging note with her scanning the surroundings with an alarmed expression on her face.

Vidya Balan looks impressive as fierce, fearless and heroic in the teaser.

The teaser has Vidya saying just one line, “Jangal kitna bhi ghana kyun na ho, sherni apna raasta dhoond hi leti hai (no matter how dense the forest is, a tigress always finds her way).”

The plot details of this Amazon original movie are scarce right now, but the film’s official YouTube description reads this as Synopsis – An upright Forest Officer who strives for balance in a world of man-animal conflict while she also seeks her true calling in a hostile environment

The shooting of Sherni came to a halt last year when the nationwide lockdown was imposed. Vidya Balan resumed the shooting schedule in October 2020 following strict bio-bubble protocols in the forests of Madhya Pradesh.
