Netflix released the teaser of its upcoming anthology where some of the best directors come together to pay an ode to one of the greatest storytellers of all time – Satyajit Ray.

The four dramatic short films in the anthology are based on Satyajit Ray’s visionary stories and revolve around the themes of love, lust, betrayal and truth. Ray would also explore the vulnerabilities and multiple shades of the characters.

The teaser commemorates 100 years of the visionary writer and gives us a glimpse of the stellar star cast, and titles of the short films.

The four stories are titled Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, Forget Me Not, Bahrupiya, and Spotlight.

The anthology features Manoj Bajpayee, Gajraj Rao, Ali Fazal, Shweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Kay Kay Menon, Bidita Bag, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor among others.

The anthology is set to stream on Netflix from June 25.

 

The anthology has been helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji and Vasan Bala. Niren Bhatt and Siraj Ahmed have adapted the stories for screen with Sayantan Mukherjee as showrunnerViacom 18’s Tipping Point has produced Ray.
